My first experiment with Modge Podge. It’s a very tiny bottle I bought at Michaels and then modge podged green, purple and blue bubbles and a purple fish onto it, using watercolor pencils on sketching paper. The pencils are so much fun to work with and I got to treat myself to them from a birthday gift certificate to the art store.
Overall, I like it, but I’ll be trying this technique a second time with a pasta canister, so we will see!

Just some recent drawings :)

This drawing was done with black pens, as well as some gold and copper touches on bristol paper. The design is purely from imagination land and took about five hours to complete.

Little, Bitty Feathered Ones! Some feather earrings I made with my friends to brighten up the fall. I’ve been wearing them nonstop. The red and purple are my favorite, hence the multiple photos.

It’s so sad, but my camera’s not working. I wanted to update with my new creatures and had to use Photobooth, which doesn’t take great detail shots. Sorry for the blurry quality! Hopefully I’ll be back up and running with my Powershot soon enough…

These guys were all at ‘The Big Art Show’ in North Philly last night!

A fun find at the art store yesterday. Kind of a coloring book for grownups. The designs are on see through waxy paper that look beautiful in front of a window. That’s where mine are going…

Movable monsters that I made for ‘Fun a Day’ a few years ago. They are made out of bristol paper and pen, with metal brads. They’re on colorful magazine paper, in frames from Target.

This Munny looks a little scared, but mostly cheerful. Named Cordenbleu, painted with acrylic and attached faux fur. Her accessory was a stick that I tried to keep true to form. She’s a smurfy color, which took awhile to get right.

The other fake Munny. His name is King Snowball and he’s a bit of a Christmas elf. He’s a little too shiny because of the sealant that I had to use, but he’s got an impish smile. He was painted with acrylics and has green felt antennae.
